St Peter’s High School -
Parents’ Association
The Parents’ Association at St Peter’s has for many years played a valuable role in supporting the work of the staff and pupils at the school.
Our aims are:
- To promote a closer relationship between parents, the school and the local community.
- To raise funds for the school by organising events for pupils, parents and staff.
- To enhance the quality of education provided, by purchasing additional equipment for the school.
- To help improve the school environment by organising occasional working parties to carry out tasks targeted by senior staff, such as gardening, painting and decoration.
As parent of a child who attends St Peter’s you will automatically become a member of the Parents’ Association and could offer your support in a number of ways:
- If you have a couple of hours to spare a month you could join our dedicated committee, new members are always welcome.
- You could join our list of occasional helpers, making yourself available to help out with refreshments or on a stall at an event.
- You could make a cash donation.
- Join our 100 Club for an application form click here
Many people put a lot of time and effort into raising funds at their primary schools, and happily send their children off to secondary school thinking they have done their ‘bit’. They forget that PA support is still needed at secondary level, perhaps to an even greater degree than at primary level. By joining the PA you have the opportunity to get to know a little more about what goes on in school, and you could help make a positive contribution to your child’s education.
If you would like to know anything about the school from a parent’s perspective we would be happy to talk to you. Please phone the school to arrange for a member of the Parents’ Association to make contact with you.
What's the 100 club
As well raising money for the school, you have the chance to win CASH PRIZES.
For the annual sum of £12.00 (so just £1.00 a month!) you will receive a number that will be entered into a monthly prize draw. Half of all the money colleted will be issued as prize money. The more people that join, the higher the prize money. For example, with 100 members the 1st prize is £30.00 but with 500 members the 1st prize soars to £150.00. The '100 Club' is not exclusively open to parents - all are welcome to join. So print off a few extra copies for grandparents, friends & relatives. Please support us so we can continue supporting the school. Click here for an application form.
